She was a very sweet lady and I have good memories of her and your entire family The last time I saw your Mom was back around Christmas of ''78 or '79 when I was living in Allentown and working at Hess's. Dear Eleanor, Don, Kelly & P.J., I read, with much regret, of the passing of my dear friend Ruthie. Our "lunch bunch" has many great stories and memories to tell about her. We have been through many things over many years. I hope the good memories of her full and wonderful life will help heal the pain of her passing.

To know "Grams" was to love Grams. My memories of her will forever be filled with the laughter and love that she brought to our lives over the last 20 years since our friendships transcended us all into family. Our hearts and prayers are with Eleanor, Don, Kelly and PJ. Love you Grams forever and ever. RIP

I am so sorry to hear about Ruthie's death. She has been a special part of my life since my childhood. Her daughter, Paulette was my dearest friend. We sent many days at the Gates' house on Primrose Lane and on Pine Street. After Paulette's death in 2000 Ruthie and I spent many hours talking about our wonderful memories of the good old days in Pittston. I will miss our talks and our visits. I will never forget her. She and her family have always been like a second family to me.
