Oh Ruth, I was just thinking about you today & came upon this. You often came to mind when people would talk about a loyal, true friend. No matter the distance or time that passed you would always keep in touch.

I think of you with so much laughter. We have the CRAZIEST memories. From Jay Leno, to the crazy car ride where you talked us out of being ran into a pole ;), to you spraying me forever with the FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZING cold water so we could shoot the rain scene & then taking pics as I climbed in the hot tub as you laughed because you could hear my teeth actually chattering, to the "drink warm milk"/"someone is breaking in to our apt" story…the list goes on forever. Those months we lived together were still one of the best times of my life & we should've written a book on the experiences.

I miss you!! I long to turn back time & make the opposite decision last year when I was going to come visit you. I long to have gotten on that train even when things looked inconvenient.

You were the epitome of someone who lives life to the fullest NO MATTER WHAT. No matter the odds, how you feel, the diagnosis…you laughed…and laughed & exuded joy til your final day. That is so rare & everyone noticed it about you. You knew your Lord & wanted to share your joy with others. You had life to live & had no time to look backwards or dwell. I hope we all learn these amazing traits!!

You touched people. You touched ME.

Although I have never had the pleasure of meeting Ruth, we happened to "meet" through a small group of women who are compassionate warriors, all fighting, surviving, and thriving after diagnosis with "the beast" (as we call it).

Ruth and I communicated via e-mail. I trust that she is in a better place, sharing her light, humor, and wisdom there as she did with all of us here. I feel that I'm a better person

I am very grateful that my friend was just that - a true friend in every sense of the word. I'm sorry that she won't be around for me to talk to anymore, but I'm thrilled that she's no longer suffering and that we'll get to be together again someday.

Ruth was a genuine ray of sunshine; one of those precious rare people with a strength, wisdom, and happiness that found its way into everyone she met. You couldn't hope to meet a kinder person, and though we've had to say goodbye her too soon, I have no doubt that she's keeping the Good Lord very good company indeed. Rest in peace, dear Ruth... your family and friends will keep you always in our hearts.

What an amazingly strong, vibrant, courageous and magnetic person Ruth was. On behalf of her "Cancer Warrior" sisters up in Canada, we want to pass on our deepest condolences to Ruth's husband, Michael, and all of her friends and family. We didn't know each other long, but she made an impression on us - that is for sure! Rest peacefully my dear friend. xo

May your trip through heaven bring you as much exictment and being on earth did the years you were hear with us. I never had a chance to meet you but really wish I could have!!

During one of the most dark and deep depressions of my life, Ruth Anne saw through the show I was putting on for the world. She reached out a hand to lift me up and cared as a sister in Christ. Selfless, gentle, and genuine. The world needed Ruth and I pray her example leads us all to become more like her as she followed Christ.

My deepest condolences to both families during this difficult time. Although I never met Ruth, I feel like I was able to get to know her through Mike's postings and pictures. She was always smiling even when she had a rough day. Mike was always by her side. Now she is in heaven and doesn't have to suffer anymore.
