Today I was thinking about Jay, I remember how pleasant he was to be around and how he reached out to many people. I was in SACA YouthBuild in 2007, there he was the case manager. He was very easy to talk to and down to earth. I am still being inspired by his legacy even today. In 2008 I moved to Upstate New York and in 2009 I joined Ulster YB and graduated in 2010. I knew james since the first grade. He always had a smile on his face and had tons of friends. He was such a great person and loved by many, He will be missed by all. I would like to say that even though i do not know his wife and children, they are in my prayers and he is in heaven watching you and loving you. He still lives on in your hearts.

I saw James and abandoned lyrics about 3 or 4 years ago at a show that I was singing at. I was taking off a semester, so I was looking for something to volunteer for. I introduced myself and my friend Shay and I went to the next abandoned lyrics meeting and later started volunteering with him at the elementary and jr. high schools. He was doing all of this alone, so it was a pleasure to help him work

I am so deeply sorry about this tragic loss for your family. My family lives down the road and came upon the tragic accident. This is such a terrible spot and I fear more deaths are to come. I would love to see a sign specifically warning motorcyclists that a dangerous blind curve is ahead & make it in memory of the two lost on this particular curve. Your son/husband, etc sounds like he truly touched more hearts and lives

We send our deepest condolences. A great loss however you gain an ANGEL although we may not understand the Lord has HIS perfect plan. I pray that the Lord gives you all strength to go on. We did not know Jay but this obituary opened the door into his life. He loved God and wanted to share that love with everyone. So sad to know that yet another special person has left us, but who are we to questions gods reasoning? Everybody has a purpous on earth, and it is obvious what yours was Jay, and I am sure you have made our god very proud. I ask god to please give everyone the strength (especially your wife and daughters) to be able to recover from this terrible loss. You were such a good person that inspired many.
