Memories & Candles
A warm, long, heartfelt hug and our deepest sympathies to the whole Bruty family from the Kennedy Family in New York.
We remember Bob as a kind, friendly man who also seemed to have a story to tell. He was politely quiet at first, but after a short while, he would get that far away' look in his eye a bit of a sparkle - and we all just knew there were great stories behind that look in his eye

Dear Bruty Family~
It is hard to understand why people are taken away from us so suddenly,
but please find comfort in knowing you were each a special part of such a
Bob, his Dad. and brothers did lots of carpentry work on the Patterson Farm NW of Washington. He and his crew built the sprawling brick ranch style home in the early 1980s and it is in this home we shared our most precious times with Jo and Kennie. Thanks, Bob for all you did for our family thru the years.
Rest in Peace, old friend.

When I was growing up, Bob was more of a big brother than a cousin to me. After I became an adult, I always enjoyed coming back to Iowa and visiting with him at his store. He was the son that carried Walter's legacy forward by keeping us all informed about how things were in the past. We will certainly miss his story telling, his humor, and his teasing. Peg and I want to let you know that we are keeping Bob and all of his family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Bev, Dickie, and the Bruty Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Working with Bev allowed me the opportunity to hear many wonderful stories of the Bruty bunch. Whenever you talked of your family it was with such love and tenderness. Your love for your dad was always so loving and sincere. I know you will truly miss his laughter, smiles, and love. Know that I am a phone call away and our prayers and thoughts are with you during

We met Bob in 1971 when we decided to build our first and only home.
He was so accomodating. He helped us plan what was reasonable for us, Then he arranged for us to see a smiliar one he had built in Washington. I recall him telling us what the exact cost would be if we didn't make any
further changes. We made no changes. The cost was exactly what he quoted. No contract. Just a friendly agreement between strangers.
