I Love You & Miss You Dad
Posted by: Barbara "Barbie" Vannoller - Jackson, TN - Daughter Feb 01, 2013
I fist met the Colonel about 2 1/2 years ago and had the pleasure of visiting with him several times over the holidays. He was a friendly and positive presence in worship at First UM Church of Lowell and always enjoyed schmoozing at the fellowship time after the service. As a Christian, he was ready for the end of life on Earth. I will miss him greatly. I am a choir member and Bob always sat in the front row when we sang and beamed. I felt like I was singing to him and he was smiling back.

Sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I have so many good memories. Will be in Missouri for a cousins funeral there so won't be to the celebration of Bob's life. Our prayers are with you.

So many memories! When in little league baseball dad came to every game even though I never got a hit. He never criticized, never told me to man-up, never tried to make me somebody different than I was. He did however get me some glasses. I've been wearing them ever since. He used to take my brother and I to the roller rink every week. Most kids were dropped off and many never had a ride home from Woodland Sport

There isn't enough words to write to describe how great Dad was. I am so thankful we got to see one last time. He fought a battle so long & he just wanted to rest. The everlasting Love we all have for him will go on and on. Although my heart aches everyday and the tears won't stop I know deep down inside I have to be strong for him because he wanted us to smile & remember good times.
