Alfred H. Marmolejo, 82, was born in Downey, Ca. on October 11, 1929 and passed away in Lynwood, Ca. on July 19, 2012. He was previously employed with Sopp Chevrolet as a Detail Man for 32 years.
Alfred was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a very friendly man and funny too. He enjoyed telling stories, whether they were true or not. His grandkids brought everything to him to fix. There wasn't anything he couldn't repair. Alfred loved detailing cars and never got tired of it even though he detailed for a profession. His favorite pass time was to go to Las Vegas.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Matthias Catholic Church in Huntington Park and is currently pending.
He is survived by his loving wife, Celia D. Marmolejo of Huntington Park, his sons, Alfred Marmolejo Jr. of Buena Park and Anthony Marmolejo of Salton City, Ca., and his daughter, Dorothy M. Diaz of So. San Gabriel. He also leaves 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and his brother, Raymond Marmolejo of West Covina and his sisters, Rosie Figueroa of Hawaiian Gardens, Virginia Hernandez and Josie Elias, both of Pomona and his step sister, Rene Montana of Pico Rivera and numerous nieces and nephews.
Condolences may be sent to the family through our web site.
