Alfred J. Dinardi passed away suddenly at his home in NH on February 28, 2012. He was 64 years of age. Alfred was born in Malden, MA on November 12, 1947 to the late Alfred & Helen (Walsh) Dinardi. He was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1965. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Dinardi lived in Melrose for over 30 years, Stoneham for 30 years and most recently in Bristol, NH. He was a member of the operating engineers local 4 and worked as the yard superintendant at Trimont Bituminous Asphalt plant in Malden for over 30 years, retiring in 2009. Alfred was very good with his hands and liked working around his home doing brick work, stone work and carpentry. Mr. Dinardi enjoyed cooking, snowmobiling, loved his dogs and his corvettes. He was the husband of Margaret R. (Cullen) Dinardi. Father of Marybeth M. Ianniciello & her husband Christopher of Farmington, NH, Anthony J. Dinardi of Melrose and the late Christopher A. Dinardi. Grandfather of Paige, Presley, Alyssa and Anthony Jr. Stepfather of Kelly McCarthy, Colleen Brady, Mary Mulran, Erin Behen and John McGuiggin. Also survived by 15 step grandchildren. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wednesday, March 7th at 9AM. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Alfred's life will be held at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives & friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00-8:00PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
