Carol Anne Hahn, age 72, of Davenport, Iowa died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport after a courageous battle with health issues.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2012, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation begins 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Keota Cemetery in Keota, Iowa. Memorials have been established for the Dialysis Unit at Genesis East Medical Center. Online condolences may be sent for Carol's family through the web at www.jonesfh.com.

Carol was born September 13, 1939 near Pulaski, Iowa the daughter of Kenneth and Cora (Scearcy) Reese. She attended Fairfield High School, and later attended Scott Community College in Davenport. She had been married to Ronald N. Hahn, Sr. for 34 years. She was previously married to Edgar Franklin.

Carol had been a resident of Davenport since 1979. She owned and operated two restaurants, one in Brighton and one in Richland. She was later employed by the Crane Company, Brach's Candy Company, and Hasty-Tasty Foods in Davenport, where she worked until her retirement.

Carol attended the First Baptist Church in Washington, Iowa. She was very involved with helping her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed canning fruit, reading, and traveling. Her family was her favorite hobby.

Carol is survived by her husband, Ronald; daughter Merryl Tate and husband Bob of Colorado Springs, Colorado, daughter Jerri Kennon and husband Ed of West Des Moines, Iowa, son Robert Franklin of Martin, South Dakota, daughter Eva Litwiler and husband Tom of Keithsburg, Illinois, daughter Lisa Hollingsworth and husband Brian of Davenport, Iowa; step-daughter Cathy Lomen and husband Robert of Washington, Iowa, step-daughter Crystal Davis and husband Pat of Washington, Iowa, step-son Tony Hahn and wife Janet of Hooppole, Illinois, step-son Randy and wife Chris of Delmar, Iowa, step-son Ronald "Nick" Hahn, Jr. and wife Karen of Washington, Iowa; step-son John and wife Indah of Washington, Iowa; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; brother Richard Reese and wife Sandra of Iowa City, Iowa, brother Gerald Reese and wife Rosemarie of Wilton, Iowa; two nephews, and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Glenn "Bud" Franklin, step-son Paul Hahn, and granddaughter Amanda Hahn.
