Rochester, MN – Caroline Louise Haman, 80, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Rochester, MN surrounded by her family. Caroline fought a courageous battle against Parkinson's disease for more than fifteen years.
Caroline was born in Racine on May 30, 1932 to Walter and Astrid (nee, Johnson) Seyferth. She graduated from Wm. Horlick High School in 1950 and furthered her education graduating from Beauty School in Milwaukee. Caroline married the love of her life, Ralph A. Haman on May 5, 1951 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Caroline worked as a beautician, but most importantly as a homemaker, raising a family of six. She enjoyed cooking and baking, crafting and knitting. Caroline loved painting, inasmuch as she grew up in a family of painters.
Survivors include her sons, David Haman of Las Vegas, NV, Jeffrey (Nancy) Haman of Racine, Brian (Beth) Haman of Rochester, MN and Richard (Amy) Haman of Racine; and her daughter, Anne (Charlie) French of Racine. Caroline is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Debra Jagielski; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Haman.
In keeping with Caroline's and Ralph's (who passed away on July 29, 2008) wishes, a joint Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. A private family inurnment of Caroline and Ralph will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at funeral home on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be directed to the Parkinson's Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
