BROOKSVILLE, FL. Frank Edward Barco, 78, formerly of Columbia, died Thursday, August 16, 2012. Born in Norfolk, Va., he was the son of the late Ernest L. and Margaret Lena Barnes Barco. He served in the Army National Guard. He was the proud owner of Frank's Hot Dogs in Five Points for 28 years. His main passion was his work and meeting new people and he enjoyed selling hot dogs to the late night Five Points crowd.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Barco; sons, Frank Barco Jr. (Renee) of Cumming, Ga, Steven Barco of Hilton Head, SC; daughter, Susan Holt (James) of Richmond, Ky.; grandsons, Bradley Barco, Douglas Barco; and brother, Herman James Barco (Patricia) of Brooksville, Fla. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Ernest L Barco III.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in the name of Frank Barco may be made to HPH Hospice Foundation, 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL 34667-2455.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 4 until 7:00 p.m. Saturday August 25, 2012, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, Columbia.
