Harold Gregory Rickabaugh, age 59, of Columbus, passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 in Columbus. He was born January 6, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Harold K. Rickabaugh and Juanita F. Rawlins Rickabaugh. Greg retired from the Ohio State University where he served as the audio visual manager for the College of Medicine, and was just beginning to pursue volunteer work during his retirement. He was a member of the Life and Christ Fellowship in West Jefferson. Greg was a licensed ham radio operator and he also held a black belt in taekwondo. Greg loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Sandra K. Bettac Rickabaugh; children, Erica Lewis (Seth) of Powell, Oh., Kathryn Waddell (Michael) of Martinsville, Va., Lauren Pocock (William) of Grove City, Oh., Alaina Rickabaugh of Grove City, Oh., and Adam Rickabaugh of Columbus, Oh.; grandchildren, Abby and Ryan Lewis, Gabriel and Naomi Waddell and Kaiser, Claira and Annaliese Pocock; brothers, Eric Rickabaugh (Debbie) of Delaware, Oh. and Timothy Rickabaugh (Roseanne) of Defiance, Oh., as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Edgar and Ocie Rawlins. A celebration of life service will be held Friday at 7 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, where friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. At Greg's request, cremation will follow the service. Private burial will be held at a later date in the Salem Cemetery.
