Johnny Ray West, age 56, of Benton, KY, died Saturday, August 11, 2012, at his residence in Benton, KY. Mr. West was a self employed general laborer and a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was the son of the late John Henry West and the late Mabelene (Higgins) West. He was also preceded in death by his son Eddie Ray West and his daughter Amy Miranda West.
He is survived by his wife: Karen (Clark) West of Benton, KY; five brothers: James West, Doug West, Joey West, Ricky Pittsenberger, and Donald West all of Paducah, KY; four sisters: Wanda Dowdy, Darlene Mayfield, and Kim Krachaw all of Paducah, KY and Linda Vick of Symsonia, KY; two nieces Helen Sisco and Johnna Sisco both of Benton, KY; a brother-in-law John Sisco of Benton, KY and a sister-in-law Connie Sisco of Benton, KY.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday, August 13, 2012. Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 14, 2012, with Dennis Lawrence officiating. Interment will be at Haymes Cemetery, Benton, KY.
