Linda Marie Bales Gautier, 62 of Narrows went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 11th, 2012 at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery.
She was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on June 30th, 1950 and was the daughter of the late William Allen and Dorothy Hester Boothe Bales.
Linda was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Narrows where she served in many capacities. She was also an avid volunteer at Riverview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Rich Creek. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 45 years, Thomas W. Gautier, Sr.; two sons, Thomas W. Gautier, Jr. and wife Sharon, and Jody Lee Gautier and wife Billie Jean; two special granddaughters that she loved dearly, McKinna Gautier and Savannah Gautier, all of Narrows; a sister, Dorothy Moore and husband Clayton; two nephews, Jeff Moore and wife Paula, and Bobby Moore and wife Misty; four great-nephews, Tyler, Connor, and Cody Moore, and Chastin Wickline, all of Peterstown; several additional nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, including a special sister-in-law, Mary Gautier of Narrows; a beloved pet bird, Stanley, and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 14th, 2012 at 12 PM at First United Methodist Church in Narrows with Rev. Chris Stanfield, Rev. Christopher Brown and Rev. Wayne Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in the Gautier Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church Monday from 6 to 8 PM. The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider First United Methodist Church; P.O. Box 398; Narrows, VA 24124, to be earmarked for the Church's Heating and Cooling Fund.
