Lucy McCarthy of Mahopac, NY formerly of New Rochelle, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 7, 2012 of pancreatic and liver cancer. She was born on November 19, 1939 the daughter of Sam and Elvira Immediato Nardone.

Lucy is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years Charles Sr., sons Charles Jr. and his wife Wendy and Gary and his wife Lisa, grandchildren Charles III, Cody, James, David, Lauren and Jonathan. She is also survived by her brothers Al and his wife Judy and Ronnie and his wife Kathy.

Lucy graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1957. She worked for Griffen Ford after graduation for 2 years. In 1966 she graduated from Phelps Hospital School of Nursing and went on to work at New Rochelle Hospital for 4 years and Somers Manor Nursing Home for 9. Lucy then went to the Instatron School for Electrolysis and opened her own business in 1980 with the name of Pretty Faces. She retired in 1996.

Visiting will be held Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, Mahopac with interment to follow at Ballard-Barrett Cemetery, Mahopac Falls.
