Ronald L. Kennedy, age 42, of Bellevue, IA and formerly of Dubuque, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at his home following a battle with cancer. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2013, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street, Dubuque. To celebrate Ron's life friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Behr Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date.

Ron was born on June 25, 1970, in Dubuque, IA, son of Ronald K. and Melnetta (Cooksley) Kennedy.


Ron held several odd jobs throughout his life and lastly worked for Addoco. He was a sports fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR , the Oakland Raiders and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Ron also enjoyed working on cars in his spare time. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for others. He enjoyed spending time with his children, nieces and nephews.

Maureen (Francis) Tillman, Bellevue, IA,

Kenneth (April) Kennedy, Bellevue, IA,

special friend,
Cindy Olds,

and many nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother, his grandparents and a nephew.

A. Ronald L. Kennedy Memorial Fund has been established.
