WILLIAM R. "BILL" GORGE
William R. "Bill" Gorge, 47, passed away suddenly Saturday, August 11. Visitation will be from 1 - 2 PM Wednesday, Aug. 15 at DW Newcomer's Sons' Floral Hills Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 2:00. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Please wear bright colors to celebrate Bill's life.
Bill was born in Izmir, Turkey and had lived in the KC area for 9 years. He was an Air Force veteran of Desert Storm. Bill worked as a CT technician for Olathe Medical Center where his many friends and co-workers will miss his dedication, infectious smile and bubbly personality. His family will forever miss his gentle soul, his caring heart, his mischievous smirk and the bright twinkle in his eye. The world lost a beautiful soul but Heaven gained one. Survivors include his wife, Melissa Gorge; a son, Taylor Gorge; a daughter, Shelby Clute; a step daughter, Camryn Holland; his parents, Bill "Chief" and Joanne Gorge; his sisters and their husbands, Jan and Tim Smith; Shirley and Eric Logan; 2 nephews, Tanner Smith and Chas Logan; and a niece, Tierra Withers; his in-laws, Roger and Donna Holland and his beloved canines, Taz, Tiger, Jasper and Cody.
